The DM8806 is a fully integrated and cost-effective industrial-temperature (DM8806I only) fast Ethernet switch controller with five 10/100Mb PHY, and five 10/100Mb MAC plus one 10/100Mb MAC with MII/RevMII/RMII. The controller provides basic Layer-2 switch functions and advance IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, priority queuing scheme, IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet, IGMP snooping protocol, Spanning Tree protocol. The integrated 5 ports PHY are compliant with IEEE 802.3u standards. The MII/RMII/Reverse MII interface provides the flexibility to connect Ethernet 10/100M PHY devices.
